A Few Tips to Help Manage your Busy Inbox
Emails getting lost, leads falling through the cracks… or sometimes we just want to ignore everything happening in the inbox. There are ways to significantly reduce the traffic to your inbox and ensure you are responding to important emails. All you have to do is follow these simple steps:
Canned Responses
Create templates based on the most common questions you receive! These can still be personalized before replying to a client, but it is super helpful to just click a button and have the email framework pop up.
Labels and filters
Really my fave way of organizing a busy inbox. You can apply filters to have incoming emails sorted directly into labels. This is such a great way to stay organized and keep track of all your emails.
Unsubscribe
Take a look at all your email subscriptions and list them out in a sheet. Unsubscribe from newsletters and other subscriptions that are no longer of interest and only clogging up your inbox.
Allocate Time
Block out a period of time in your schedule to answer emails. Maybe it’s 30 minutes everyday at 10:00 am, or every other day at 3:00 pm, but once that block of time is up, close it down and don’t worry about checking until the next time.
Auto-Responder
If you’re a busy entrepreneur who is on the go a lot or busy with client work, setting up an auto-reply to emails is a good bet. Here, you can mention your timeline for responding to emails or add any relevant FAQs.
Hopefully, with implementing these 5 easy steps, you will find yourself with an inbox that is much more organized, easier to manage, and in turn makes you money.
